They weren’t looking for love…

The owner of a successful, sophisticated boutique called Romantically Yours, Gracie Hart’s nickname is the Diva of Romance. Who could have guessed that having once loved and lost, she has no intention of ever falling in love again, no matter how loudly her biological clock keeps ticking? Until, that is, her new tenants, Carson Price and his six-year-old daughter Izzie, arrive on the scene and proceed to wreak havoc in her life—and her heart! …but it found them anyway!

Single again and determined to stay that way, Carson Price has come to town looking for a new career, a new place to live, and a new way of life for little Isabella. When he rents both the shop next to Gracie’s, and the apartment above which adjoins hers, he has no idea that Gracie will become such a favorite of Izzie’s—or that he’ll find himself hoping the sexy shopkeeper will soon be romantically his!

Accidents, Surprises and Love, Oh My!

I just love Gracie and Carson and Izzie. Gracie has a good heart and tender ways and a soft spot for Izzie that touches any mother or stepmother's heart. I love how smoothly the story carries you, through all the accidents and confusion of having a 6 year old, a cat, a puppy and all the ruckus this stirs up in Gracie's quiet little existence.

The scene of Izzie's nightmare and Gracie comforting her through it, brought me to tears. And then Izzie's mother's appearance was the one thing that could possibly destroyed the new loves in Gracie's life.

Being the wife of a man who has a child from a previous marriage, I can all too well understand Gracie's misconceptions about what the relationship between Carson and his ex really is. I struggled with similar fears in the early stages of my relationship, when my stepson has questioned the reason his parents aren't together and has even told me that he wished they'd get back together.

But just like in Falling For Grace, there's always more to the story and when a woman leaves a man, deserts him for either her career or herself, it's kind of hard for him to ever look at her the same way, no matter what the child of that relationship may wish for.

This is a moving, beautiful portrayal of how often we really do get a second chance at love.

Hi Taryn. Wow. I'd forgotten how much I loved Gracie's story. Thanks for telling how it moved you. I just also fell in love with Izzie while I was writing the story. I've had people ask me if Izzie can have her own book sometime. One person wanted her to have her own children's book and others have said they want to see Izzie all grown up, looking for her own love. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by. I'm so glad you liked Grace!

Yes, that would be interesting to see Izzie grown up, to find out what kind of young woman she grows into from having Gracie for a stepmother, but more a mom to her than her own. There could even be a conflict with her feelings, from a grown up pov dealing with her mother in some form or fashion. A confrontation or something. I think that would be wonderful!

Falling for Grace

Hi Maddie! I went to Virginia Beach a couple of weeks ago and took your book \"Falling for Grace\" with me to read. I just wanted to let you know I really enjoyed reading it. It was a great beach book too. I usually read a Nicholas Sparks book but I am glad I chose this one. Good job! :)

Re: Falling for Grace

(Folks, the previous email came through via my website so I transferred it over here)

Thanks, Marci! I love Nicholas Sparks, too. And you can't miss with a beach book about the beach. Nights in Rodanthe is one of my favorites of his. Maybe it's because I like staying in Rodanthe and I love the Outer Banks, but love his writing style, too. Thanks for taking Grace with you!
